Studio & Marketing Manager

The Yoga Lounge 

Canmore, Alberta

Hours: 15 – 22 hours per week, contract position, flexible hours

Pay: $18 – $21 per hour, commensurate with experience

Location: Remote, plus some tasks at The Yoga Lounge in Canmore, AB (occasional, approximately 1x per week)

The Studio & Marketing Manager will manage the day-to-day administrative, marketing, and communication needs of the studio, as well as operational and programming needs. Working in conjunction with the studio owner, the successful candidate will work strategically to ensure the studio’s success. The Manager will respond to client issues in a timely manner and proactively design solutions for long-term success.

What you will be doing:

Administrative & Customer Service

  • Monitor email inbox and phones
  • Respond in a professional and timely manner to emails and phone calls
  • Use MindBody Online to address student issues, process payments, run reports
  • Set up Classes, Workshops, Registered Classes, & Teacher Trainings using MindBody online
  • Participate in weekly manager meetings
  • Troubleshoot technical issues for Virtual classes using Zoom and APIANT software 
  • Enter inventory into MindBody Online and keep online store updated
  • Monitor inventory and recommend new inventory purchases 

Communication & Marketing

  • Update all communication touchpoints when there are changes to studio policies and procedures 
  • Plan and schedule social media posts
  • Stay up to date with current social media and marketing practices, implement and recommend new strategies
  • Make updates to the WordPress website
  • Ensure written and visual website content is current, and positively represents the studio
  • Design posters and social media graphics for Workshops, Registered Classes, Special Events and Teacher Trainings
  • Plan, write and design monthly newsletters in MailChimp 
  • Keep studio signage updated, design new signage when needed
  • Occasional photography of teachers or events, or coordinate photoshoots with external photographers 


  • Provide input on staffing and class schedule changes
  • Make recommendations and decisions about workshop and registered class programming with the management team
  • Communicate with teachers to plan, set up, and promote workshops and registered programs

Logistics and Operations

  • Organize logistics of workshops, registered programs, and teacher trainings
  • Train new teachers on studio procedures
  • Keep Teacher’s Manual updated
  • Respond to issues at the studio if needed
  • Support Karma Team with new team members, procedures, and materials or equipment needs
  • Troubleshoot teacher and student issues, suggest constructive solutions

*Software: MailChimp, MindBody Online, Zoom, Google Suite, WordPress, Instagram, Facebook, Hootsuite, Uscreen

*Knowledge of all of the listed software is not essential, however proficiency with some of the programs would be considered an asset

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a customer service role
  • Concise and effective writing skills are essential
  • Experience with social media and website platforms
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Proven ability to work with a team as well as independently
